I think this is my third or fourth website I've developed for Richard Eaton of AlphaBio Centrix. … read more about BioEnergyShop.com
Winston (Allen) Andrews was one of my first web design clients I had after setting up shop. That would’ve been back around the turn of the century. (Sounds kind of cool to say it that way!) His company, AART, Inc manufactures surgical implants and other reconstructive products, and I’ve been setting up with new designs for their website over a decade now.
This most recent version was an awesome project. Although I do like the clean, crisp design elements, it’s really what’s under the hood that made it such an great project to work on.
This site has a pretty extensive catalog of hundreds of products. I was able to set up Allen’s site so that the products are easy to browse through, with all the options and variations available for each product. However, since AART sells products used in the medical profession, the bulk of their products is not available to sell to the public. So…
Although some products are available to the general public for purchase through the site, most of the products are sold only to medical professionals for surgical use. This required a membership area so the registered physicians could logon to have access to purchasing those products directly through the website.
Although combining a site with so many products, some that need to be available to the general public, others that need to be available only to registered physicians, could sound like this could be a little complicated for my client to keep up with and maintain those areas. Fortunately, WordPress allows me to set all that up for them under one admin area… They can login, update product info, manage their membership area, do content marketing through adding new posts, editing page information… I love WordPress for making this so user friendly for my clients!
Mobile Responsive Design and HTML5
And, of course all this is done using mobile responsive design so that Allen’s customers can access this site comfortably via any mobile device as well as desktop and laptop computers.
Does this kind of setup sound like something that could make your life easier? 🙂
